SIGEP 2017 – bread and circuses for gourmets

The 39th time the SIGEP International Gastronomic Exhibition will take place in the Italian resort city Rimini in January 20-24, 2018. This is the most important European event for exhibiting the equipment for artisan production of ice cream, coffee, bakery and confectionery. The event has been held since 1980 and has gained great prestige among sales representatives, wholesalers and distributors all over the world.

It used to be the largest exhibition in Italy dedicated to artisan production of ice cream and pastry. There appeared the bakery equipment then. Today SIGEP offers tremendous opportunities for business cooperation and exploring new technologies of the food industry. The number of visitors grows every year. This year, already 170 countries participated in the exhibition.

The visitors are offered contests, thematic sections, masters’ competitions, courses and seminars of authoritative experts, tastings and presentations of innovations. Of course, the event cannot be held without the delicious Italian coffee. Traditionally, this section is dedicated to the flavored coffee drink and introduces to the professionals the latest trends in the industry.

The 39th SIGEP trade fair will be particularly dedicated to the following thematic sections: health and food safety of the whole process flow – from raw materials, environmental soundness and innovation issues to technologies – the key factors of the international market development.
